Objective of Course

Radiologic technicians use computerized equipment and technology to obtain images of the body for diagnostic purposes. These technicians might specialize in a particular bodily system, such as cardiac, skeletal, urinary or digestive. To apply, most programs require an associate's degree and completed math and science coursework at the post-secondary level, such as algebra, biology, physiology and anatomy. Clinical observation experiences at college or university-affiliated institutions are often a prerequisite for graduation. After exiting these programs, students can earn professional certification, which can help with career advancement.
